Cashless programme to be started by Nara Lokesh in Vizag today
Nara Lokesh, the IT and Panchayati Raj Minister will participate on Wednesday in the Visa cashless programme that would be held at Vishakhapatnam.
The government of AP has signed up with an agreement with the Visa Company at Davos so that they can make Vizag the first cashless city in the country.
Visa will now promote cashless transactions in all the private and government offices and Visa will also cater to various other activities that would include retail business. Nara Lokesh will also be signing the agreement with the ANSR company and APIIC at Novatel. The government has also allocated 10 acres of land to ANSR at Vishakhapatnam and the firm will be investing Rs 1000 Crores and this would bring in more than 10,000 jobs in the coming 10 years.
