Centre to take the GST burden for the Polavaram Project
The Finance Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said that the Goods and Services Tax will not show any effect on the Srivari laddu Prasadam of Tirumala. He added that the impact can be seen on the rented rooms at Tirumala which can be over Rs. 500.
He addressed the media and also explained that GST has been implemented after more than one and half decades of deliberation and said that no one should say that it was implemented without a proper planning.
He also said that there might be some changes made to the GST after considering the present conditions. He also added that the Centre did maintain the neutrality of revenue as they did not let the petrol, diesel and Excise Tax come under the purview of GST.
He also mentioned that the Centre would also be bearing the burden caused by GST on the Polavaram project.
