Andhra Pradesh to have a diamond shaped Assembly and stupa-like HC
N Chandrababu Naidu, the CM of AP has confirmed the final design of the permanent Andhra Pradesh Legislative (Assembly, Council) which will look more like the Kohinoor diamond. He also gave his nod for the Buddhist Stupa (hemispherical structure) design for the building of High Court which will also be constructed in the capital city Amaravati.The responsibility of drawing the designs was given to The Norman Fosters and Partners and they have presented the final designs of Legislative Complex and High Court building to CM today. It is said that Naidu suggested some changes to the High Court building designs.
Chandrababu Naidu spoke on the occasion and said that the people of AP lost the most precious Kohinoor diamond, but they will see the same in the structure of the Assembly now. He also said, “Similarly, Stupa replicates happiness. People will feel happy if they get justice. Everyone should feel that they will get justice after entering into the High Court building, which will be replica of Stupa.”
He also spoke about his desire to see the Legal City shining like the cities of London and Hong Kong.
