‘Punnami Oravakallu’ to start in Oravakallu from the 9th of June
There would a three day festival moon festival held by Andhra Pradesh Tourism at Oravakallu which happens to be a landscape of the regal rock formations at Kurnool district on the 9th of June.
The festival known as ‘Punnami Oravakallu’ will begin on the grand scale near the rock formations in Kurnool and these rock formations are known to be the oldest among those in the world.
Talking about the same, AP Tourism Regional Director G Gopal said, “It is the first ever full moon festival to be celebrated at one of the best kept secrets of Andhra Pradesh. These three-billion-year-old rock formations are the ideal weekend getaway for Hyderabad, Bengaluru tourists.”
AP Tourism has also identified the grandeur of the rock formations and has started a 1000 acre Oravakallu Rock Garden Park where some igneous rock formations remain as the centre of attraction.
